As a 100% donations-based darkroom, Prints for Palestine calls for photographers to continue the heritage of photojournalism. When you mail us your film negatives, you will receive a print, and sales made from your physical prints go toward Palestinian families' evacuation funds. With the one act of mailing us your film negatives, our mission is to help preserve stories of liberation with your print and simultaneously sustain the active liberation of Palestinian people.
Mission Statement
Photojournalism’s origins hold a deep reverence for explicitly documenting the strife of an oppressed class as seen through Charles-Francois Thibault’s 1848 photo of an insurrectionary barricade. This act not only documents the story of liberation but simultaneously enacts it. As photographers capture lived experiences, they preserve a historical moment that exposes our realities, our politicians, our environments, our oppression, and our liberation in full truth. Photography’s legacy within social justice has always and continues to expound stories of liberation.
